01) Gohar Mahal- An epitome of glory and
unity, the mahal was built by Gohar
begum (one of the few women rulers of that era). It has a combination of mughal

highlights the old glorious days of Bhopal.

Taj-ul-Masjid :
Taj-ul-Masjid which literally means “crown of the mosques” is a Mosque of Mughal era. It was
built in 19th century. The
mosque is a must see for the lovers of architecture because of its intricate
designs, pink facades and octagonal minarets. It is indeed the Crown of Mosques.
03) National Museum of Mankind : Also called Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralya , it was established in 1985.
It is an anthropological museum which gives an insight into the revolution of

04) Upper Lake:One of the most
popular places in Bhopal, upper lake is biggest man made lake in Madhya
Pradesh. The air is always filled with a relaxing spirit. Rosy skies, still

05) Van Vihar national Park: The park is a great place to get in
touch with nature. It supports a variety of fauna be it tigers, wolf
bears , chinkara, porcupine, four horned antelope ,leopard and many
more. Best time to visit the park is from June to August.
06) Bhimbetka Rock Shelters:The
name Bhimbetka is derived from Bheem ( from the Mahabharata) which mean “the
sitting place of Bheem”.Declared a world heritage in 2003, Bhimbetka rock
shelters have stone age rock painting.
The place takes you back to your roots and gives a sense of the cave man life!
07) Bhojpur temple: This temple of Lord Shiva was found by Raja Bhoj and
hence was named after him. Also called the “Somnath of east” , it has one of the most finest architectures.
It reflects the building design of 12th and 13th century.
